Chances are if you are not a foodie or into super-health eating or drinking, you might not be familiar with the new lingo or terminology in the holistic circles.
There is a new vernacular for juicing, infusing, fermenting or making drinks with herbs, spices, fruits or vegetables that may or may not be imbibed with the addition of alcohol. These health packed drinks have been termed "wellness cocktails" (alcohol containing) or "wellness mocktails" (no alcohol). Mocktails are great since the whole family can enjoy them!
Depending on the ingredients, these drinks can truly pack a powerful punch of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory ingredients that are beneficial to your liver and overall well being.
What nutrients are in this shake? There is a long list and I have included several references for you to read at the bottom. Essentially this drink has loads of antiinflammatory and antioxidant nutrients along with ample vitamins, minerals.
I premiered the Golden Turmeric Shake wellness mocktail recipe last July and it was a summer time hit! It was meant to rival a popular drink at one of the local coffee chain giants- without the refined sugars or processed syrups!
